Lake Maracaibo
Maracaibo city is situated in the shore of this lake which is the biggest lake in South America, it has an area of approximately 13.000 square kilometers, next to there are diverse walks and green zones that conform a zone known as the "Vereda del Lago"
It is the most important lake route that exists in Venezuela and constitutes a very important communication mean for the near communities and commerces such as the towns located oriental coast of San Timoteo lake, Ceuta and Bachaquero.
The General Rafael Urdaneta bridge is constructed over the lake and communicates the Occident of Zulia with the Oriental sector and the rest of the country. It is one of the most important and wonderful buildings in Venezuela, its construction lasted for about four years and have a length of approximately 8 kilometers and a half.
