Iglesia Nuestra Se�ora de La Asunci�n
It is located in the capital city next to the Plaza Bolívar, it was built during 50 years and it is one of the most antique churches of the place.
Its construction began in the year 1571, under the decision of the visitor of the order of Saint Domingo Fray Juan de Manzanillo and it was concluded in 1617, under the government of Don Bernardo de Vargas Machuca, it was constructed with lime and brick, after the Santa Lucía and Villa del Espiritu towns merge each other.
