El Agua
One of the most popular and beautiful beaches of the island, the sand is very fine, and the water is semi-oceanic and very crystalline, it has about 4 Km. in length and is located in one side of the island.

La Restinga
If you visit this beach, you must watch the beautiful sunsets that are observed from the sea shore. It has a renting awnings service and very good restaurants.

La Galera
It is located in the north of the historic population of Juan Griego, Marcano district. Is natural environment is formed mainly by dunes and is surrounded by palm trees, offers several services to their visitors such as food and drink establishments.

Caribe
This beach has earned a lot of popularity over the past years among the people of the Island as well as among local and foreigners tourists, it is located to the northeast of the La Galera small fort and has are very good waves.

Manzanillo
It is located in the north part of the island, it is a bay that has 500 m. of extension, it has very quiet waters which are also very cold.

Parguito
It has lot of vegetation and a strong sea swell. It is located in the north coast of the Island and it is a very well-known beach visited by very young people that enjoy that usually practice the surfing and the bodyboard.

Las Tetas de María Guevara
They are little twin hills located in the central zone of Margarita Island, which were decreed as Natural Monument on February 27, 1974.

La Restinga National Park
It has an extension of 18.862 HAs and it was incorporated by the "Convención de Humedales Ramsar" to its wetlands list of international importance in 1996.

La Asunción
It is the capital of New Esparta state, it was founded by the XVI century and it was consolidated because of the relationships established between it neighbors (Cumaná and Cubagua inhabitants) and the natives.

Porlamar
It is located to 9 Km of La Asunción and to 7 Km of Pampatar, nowadays; it is the biggest and most important urban center of Margarita Island.

Fortín de la Libertad o de La Galera
This monument was built in 1811 under instructions of the Provincial meeting of Margarita, to protect Juangriego bay and its inhabitants.

Iglesia Nuestra Señora de La Asunción
It is located in the capital city next to the Plaza Bolívar, it was built during 50 years and it is one of the most antique churches of the place.
