Casa Natal de Andr�s Eloy Blanco
The house of Andres Eloy Blanco Meaño is located in Sucre Street, in front of the Bolivar Plaza near to the government palace, nowadays is one of the major urban patrimonies inside the city. It was inaugurates on November 27, 1965, its main promoter was Manuel Saturnino Gomez Peñalver.
The house was restored preserving its original features becoming the current "Casa de la Cultura" (house of culture), a historic patrimony and urban museum. Today, you can visit inside the museum the room of the poet as well as other of its belongings.
Nowadays, the area of the house does not correspond to number determined by the property document signed by the Eloy Blanco. The house preserves many objects that belong to one of the most famous poets of the twentieth century in Venezuela and it also preserves a statue of Andres Eloy Blanco made by sculptor Hugo Daini.
