The cahtedral of Cumana
The Cathedral of Cumaná was built in the year 1926 and originally was very different as we know it today. The artificer of this important work was the Monsignor Breckman, because he was the one who conceived, he designed the planes and brought the wood from the mountains of Cariaco.
This construction has a neo-classical style, it has a magnificent altarpiece made of carved wooden that was brought from Spain as well as religious statues that adorn the interior. In the year 1929 an earthquake destroyed it partially, for this reason it was restored in 1936. It was elected as Metropolitan Archdiocese in 1989.
