El Obelisco
This is a symbol that represents the city of Barquisimeto, and at the same time, it is one of the most representative icons of Lara State, it is located at the west of the city. It was built in 1952 on the occasion of the commemoration of 400 years of foundation of the city.
It is a large rectangular tower whose base is made of concrete and steel, it was built by the engineer Rafael José Raga, has a height of 75 meters, is equipped with an intern elevator as well as a clock on the top.
