Barquisimeto Museum

This museum is located in the 15 street, between the 25 and 26 streets. It sits in an old building that has many historical and architectural values which belong to the old Hospital San Lazaro, the public prison and an old house.

This place was rebuilt in 1877 in order to become the hospital of "La Caridad" that was an initiative of the Doctor Antonio Maria Pineda, the construction was based on the project of the german engineer Justo Rosemberg, in May 1939, the council renamed the Hospital with the name "Antonio María Pineda".
